Open Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 18pm. For group booking call 0033 - (0)3 88 22 18 88.
Situated on the museum's first floor with a delightful ambiance, two immense bay windows give a view of the large terrace facing the Ill and Petite France. Designed by decorator Yves Taralon, who is also credited with Café Marly under the Louvre's arches, and decorated with colored frescos by Aki Kuroda, freely inspired from Mondrian's work, the Art Café restaurant offers fine quality catering. Its spacious, luminous room welcomes over 100 guests, as does its terrace.
At any moment of the day you'll find a menu filled with diversified dishes and a choice of prix fixe formulas available for every taste: light snacks called the "pause club" or "petite Faim", or a heartier meal called "L'heure du déjeuner" offered in the evening as well, a tea service "l'heure du thé", brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, and a child's menu are available...each feature fresh, light and innovative cuisine. Salads named after painters, for example Klimt or Kandinsky (the latter, a composition of tarama and pink grapefruit) are yet another feature on the menu. You will find a dessert cart and wine list, with new additions to discover monthly as well.
The Art Café Restaurant and its terrace are accessible through the museum's central nave or the hanging gardens bordering the banks of the Ill.
